Patrick Baran

Baran Studios

Patrick Baran is an award-winning Creative Designer and the founder of Baran Creative Studios. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, he holds a major in Industrial Design with minors in both Graphic Design and Sculpture. With a specialization in 3D product development, Patrick brings a high level of expertise to industrial design, including product and toy design, photography, and sculpture.

With over four decades of experience, Patrick has managed and designed a wide range of products across various market categories such as toys, soft goods, lawn and garden items, eco-friendly furniture, and retail displays. His extensive career includes collaborations with overseas agents and manufacturers in India and China, and he holds numerous U.S. and international patents for his innovative designs.

Together with his wife, Pattianne, Patrick currently runs Baran Creative Studios, located on the 3rd floor of the historic Screw Factory building (Studio C358). There, he creates one-of-a-kind wall and floor sculptures using wood and plastic—materials he has worked with throughout his life and finds both accessible and versatile.

Artistic Practice
Patrick has been practicing his creative craft for over 40 years. His work often explores the relationship between positive and negative space, as well as the interplay of light and shadow. Drawing inspiration from both urban environments and nature, his sculptures reflect a unique dialogue between industry and organic form.

Exhibitions and Awards
He has exhibited at the Bay Art Show for the past three years and has received multiple industry awards for his innovative work in toys and soft goods.
