Freddy HilL
Townsend’s Guitar Co.
Freddy Hill is a Northeast Ohio-based furniture designer and woodworker with over 22 years of experience in the craft. What began as a failed attempt to build a guitar using a belt sander and a chainsaw turned into a lifelong passion for woodworking—and a successful career in functional art and furniture design. His work combines craftsmanship with creativity, always rooted in a commitment to sustainability.
Freddy is a Creative Workforce Fellow whose work has been featured on NPR, PBS, and as a runner-up on Spike TV’s “Framework”. His solo exhibitions include Gallery W and Lilly, and his pieces have been showcased at major design events such as F*SHO (2012–2018) and The Art of Artisans. When he's not in the studio, you’ll likely find him performing live music across Northeast Ohio—coming full circle to his early inspiration.
